Ajmer : Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari participated in the Maha Aarti at Tirtharaj Pushkar Sarovar in the city of Brahma Ji on Friday evening. There he performed the rituals and took blessings from God and then made a big announcement for the people of Pushkar. Deputy CM said, ‘The Central and Rajasthan governments will work together to develop Pushkar on the lines of Kashi-Vishwanath and Ayodhya.
‘Traditions and cultural heritage will be preserved’
Diya Kumari said, ‘Pushkar is a center of faith and belief not only for Rajasthan but for the entire country. The central and state governments are making joint efforts to establish it as a global religious and cultural destination. The traditions and cultural heritage here will be preserved by including modern facilities in the development works. The Rajasthan government has prepared a plan for the development of Pushkar, which will be implemented with the help of the central government. Our aim is not only to increase religious tourism but also to improve the quality of life of local residents.
Devotees coming to Pushkar fair broke the record of 2019
That was the last day of the historic Pushkar Fair 2024 with Kartik Purnima. According to a statement, the Deputy CM said, ‘Pushkar Fair proved to be historic this time with record number of devotees and tourists. More than six lakh domestic devotees and 20,000 foreign tourists participated in this fair which lasted for seven days. For the first time after 2019, such a large number of people came to Pushkar. This not only shows the importance of Pushkar, but is also a proof of the success of our tourism policies.
