The employment of vegetable vendors has come to a standstill due to parking of trucks filled with sand stone blocks seized from illegal mining in the market area of Karauli : Sadar Police Station. Due to a dozen trucks standing in a queue, vegetable vendors have been unable to set up temporary vegetable shops on their carts for two days due to lack of space. Due to this, they are facing business crisis. In fact, in an action taken under the direction of the Superintendent of Police on Saturday morning, the police of three police stations had caught 12 trucks laden with blocks of sand stone extracted through illegal mining in the forest area from Khareta Road in village Karsauli. Since the place of action was in Sadar police station area, the trucks were seized and brought to Sadar police station. They were brought and made to stand outside the police station. Trucks filled with blocks were parked for about 500 meters from the DSP office to the front of the sub-jail. The cart operators who bought vegetables from the market on Saturday morning could not set up shop. Vegetable vendors told that about 40 people set up vegetable shops on carts from Bhaylapura turn to the sub-jail. But due to the queue of trucks on the road, there is no space left to park the cart. It is noteworthy that last month the police had seized seven tractor-trolleys laden with illegal mining strips. Due to tractor-trolleys standing in the market for several days, footpath shopkeepers and vegetable vendors had to face problems regarding employment.
Road blocked, problems in transportation
These days, there is a crowd of people in the market for shopping during the monsoon season. The main route for people from urban and rural areas to reach the market is through Chaupar Circle in front of Sadar Police Station. In such a situation, due to the queue of trucks covering half the road in the market area, vehicles are facing problems in evacuating their goods and people are facing problems in movement.
