Jaipur : Radha Ashtami has special significance in Sanatan Dharma as it is the celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna’s beloved Radha Rani. According to the Hindu calendar, this festival is celebrated on the eighth day (Ashtami) of Shukla Paksha in the Bhadrapada month. Let us tell you that this time Radha Ashtami festival will be celebrated from 7 to 11 September in the capital’s Ishtdev Govinddevji. Radha Ashtami festival will be celebrated with gaiety and enthusiasm in Govind Devji temple. On September 7, Hariram Kirtan will be held in Govind Devji. On the 8th, there will be a bhajan evening by Shri Shyam Bhajan Sandhya Parivar. On the 9th, the devotees of Chakar Mandir Shri Govind Devji will please Radha Ji and Shreeji.
Akhand Harinam Sankirtan will be held on 10th. On 11th, a presentation will be given by Shri Gaur Govind Mahila Mandal. On this day, women will sing songs congratulating Kishori Ji on her birth. On 11th September, the time of tableaux will change in Govind Devji temple. Mangala tableaux darshan will be at 4 am. Radharani Ji’s Abhishek will be held at 4:45 am. Radha Rani Ji will be given Panchamrit Abhishek with milk, curd, ghee, sugar and honey. After this, Maha Aarti darshan will be held. Panchamrit will be distributed free of cost in the temple premises. After this, Dhoop tableaux will be held. Thakur Shriji will be dressed in new yellow attire. Radha Ji will be specially adorned. After this, Panjiri, Laddu and Mawa Barfi will be offered.
