Bharatpur News Desk: A case of ragging of 13 girl students has come to light on Wednesday from Shri Jagannath Pahadia Medical College in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. All these girls are first year students, who have accused their seniors of ragging for two consecutive days. During this ragging, the girl students were asked about their hobbies and then they were forced to sing songs. When the matter of ragging reached the principal, he immediately activated the anti-ragging committee, after which the senior girl students were caught red-handed.
Parents of senior girl students were called to the college
Now the college administration has written a letter to the families of the girl students involved in ragging and called them to the college. College Principal Tarunpal said, ‘As soon as the complaint of ragging came to me for the first time, I activated the Anti Ragging Committee and asked it to keep an eye on the entire matter. In just 10 minutes, the ragging students were caught by the committee and they were brought to me. A letter has been written to their families, informing them about what their children are doing in the medical college and what penalty they are going to have to pay.
The complaining students said – do not take action against seniors
However, the girl students who were victims of ragging have demanded that no action be taken on the complaint. Due to this, the principal has not confirmed the names of the girl students involved in ragging. But, if any action is taken then he may have to go to jail and his MBBS studies may get hampered. But the matter will probably not move forward because after Diwali, the families of the senior girl students involved in ragging between November 6 and November 10 have been called to the college, where a decision like fine is possible after a meeting with the principal.
