Amethi, November 15 (IANS). Raghavaram Seva Sansthan, run by district panchayat president and industrialist Rajesh Agrahari of Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, distributed eight thousand blankets to the needy on the first Friday of winter.
Apart from State Government Cabinet Minister Baby Rani Maurya, MLC Govind Narayan Shukla, MLC Shailendra Pratap Singh, IG and Commissioner of Police and administrative officials participated in the blanket distribution program organized at Ramlila Maidan in Amethi town.
During this time, an ultrasound machine for screening serious diseases and a donation of Rs 2 crore for providing employment to unemployed youth was also given to Amethi CHC.
While addressing the program, Cabinet Minister of Yogi Government, Baby Rani Maurya said that Raghavaram Seva Sansthan run by Rajesh Agrahari is doing commendable work in the society. Many people will have money but only the one who has the spirit of service can become a social worker like Rajesh Agrahari. Exemplary work is being done on their behalf in different areas of the society. The way he has engaged himself in service to the poor and needy people cannot be praised enough.
The special thing is that the institute also donated two crore rupees to provide employment to unemployed youth. Apart from this, arrangements for cremation of unclaimed dead bodies, provision of nutritious food for adopted tuberculosis patients, assistance to fire victims, medical arrangements for people suffering from serious diseases and financial assistance for marriage of destitute girls were also given.
Raghav Ram Seva Sansthan, run by Amethi’s District Panchayat President and industrialist Rajesh Agrahari, has been distributing blankets to the needy and poor for the last 27 years.
