Jaipur : . An international level basketball court is ready in Maharani College. This court has been built by JDA at a cost of about Rs 75 lakh. During his visit to Jaipur on September 23 last year, Rahul Gandhi met the girl students at Maharani College. During this time, the girl students in the college had demanded Rahul Gandhi to build a basketball court for practice.
Following the demand of the girl students, the then Congress government had instructed JDA to build a basketball court in the college. Now the court will be inaugurated by the college administration. According to Principal Nimali Singh, time has been sought from the Governor and Higher Education Minister for the inauguration of the court. He said that this is the first international level basketball court of its kind in the state. After the start of the court, college students will not need to go out anywhere for practice.
