Ambala, December 8 (IANS). Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij raised questions on Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s statement supporting farmers. He asked whether Congress had given MSP to farmers during its rule?
Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij said, “Rahul Gandhi took too long to understand this. Congress ruled the country for about 50 to 60 years. What did they do for the farmers at that time? Why is the condition of the farmers like this today? Who is responsible for this? Congress should tell what they did for Congress and what the Bharatiya Janata Party took away?”
Anil Vij said, “The BJP government is giving MSP to the farmers. Haryana has given MSP to all the crops. There was a Congress government in Haryana, but they could not give MSP to the farmers. Just giving speeches does not fill the stomach, Something solid has to be done for this.”
Rahul Gandhi had said that the Modi government is preparing to bring a new tax slab. GST has been increased on essential items. On this, Anil Vij said, “On what basis is he saying this? He is only trying to provoke the country and create instability with new things.”
Vij said, “As far as Haryana is concerned, here the government has given MSP on 24 crops without saying anything.”
On Congress’s defeat in Haryana elections, the BJP leader said, “The reality is that the people rejected the Congress. Now with which hand they hold the ear, it is their choice. They should explain to their own hearts how this happened.” ?In a democracy, the public’s decision should be taken to heart.
