Railway track is being changed in Pali after 25 years, Rs 42 crore spent

Pali News Desk: After about 25 years, the work of changing the railway track is being done in Pali. Replacing this years old track will reduce accidents. The work of replacing the railway track is being done by Jodhpur Railway Board. This track was laid in the year 1998. Which is quite old now. Work is being done to replace it. This work is being done in a phased manner from Raikabagh in Jodhpur to Home Single in Marwar Junction. In which a budget of Rs 42 crore is being spent.

These will be the tasks

Along with changing the railway track, the clips, slip pads, fittings, pendrol clips etc. installed in it will be changed. Track replacement work will be done for about 103 km.

Work is being done to ensure that the train is not affected

At present, track replacement work is being done by the Railways near Bhatwara in Pali. To ensure that the movement of trains is not disrupted, the laborers are working to change the track under the supervision of the railway engineer by checking the schedule of the arrival and departure of trains.

This will be the benefit of changing track

Railway PRO Purushottam Sharma said that when the track becomes years old, its clips etc. become loose and the railway track also gets cracked at some places. Slip also damages the pad. Therefore, the work of changing tracks is done by the Railways from time to time.

so that no accident happens

In January 2023, several coaches of the Suryanagari train went down from the track and overturned due to a crack in the track near Bomadara in Pali. About 24 passengers were injured in the accident and the routes of 12 trains had to be diverted. The work of changing the track is being done to prevent accidents due to any defect in the track.
