Railways took these steps to prevent train accidents, will start from Rajasthan

Jaipur : Railways is now taking many new steps to prevent train accidents. Under this, emphasis is being laid on upgrading the railway signal system. The pilot project of this upgradation in Rajasthan will first be started from Jaipur division. Its main objective is to increase both security and efficiency across the network. In fact, many times train accidents occur due to human error or signal failure, which not only causes loss to human life but also causes damage to railway property. To prevent such incidents, Railways will now upgrade the signal system.

Pilot project will be implemented in North Western Railway

According to railway officials, this project was first started in the country in Ratlam division of Madhya Pradesh and now it will be implemented in North Western Railways also. Along with this, it will also be easier to detect signal tampering by anti-social elements, so that accidents can be prevented by taking immediate action.

This is how the system will be upgraded

A senior railway official said that point machines are used to stay on one line of the train. During this period many human accidents occur. To prevent this, the signaling system will be upgraded and the electronic interlocking will be connected to the computerized direct drive through optical fiber cable. With this measure the possibility of signal failure will become negligible.
