Jaipur : After the monsoon became active, the rain continues in Rajasthan. Heavy rain was recorded in the Mewar region in the last 24 hours on Tuesday. Heavy rain occurred at some places in Udaipur, Dungarpur and Banswara districts. At the same time, the intermittent rain in Jaipur from late night continued till Wednesday morning. There is a rain alert today in 31 districts of the state including the capital Jaipur. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain till September 7. In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 115 mm i.e. four inches was recorded in Bhungra of Banswara. Apart from this, 96 in Gudamalani of Barmer, 133 in Jaitpura of Bhilwara, 101 in Sajjangarh of Banswara, 103 in Dewal of Dungarpur, 82 in Phalodi, 87 in Badgaon of Udaipur and 61.5 mm in Dungarpur. Ajmer also received heavy rain on Tuesday.
Many dams are full due to good rains
Due to heavy rains in Udaipur, the Sisarama river is in spate. The flow in the Bujhra river has also increased. Due to the increase in the inflow of water from the Sisarama river, 4 gates of Swaroop Sagar were opened by 6 inches each. As a result, the Aayiad river started flowing with speed for the first time this season. On the other hand, after the rains in Bhilwara and Kherad areas, water is being drained out by opening the four gates of the Gudha dam in the Bundi district by four feet each. Apart from this, due to good rains in Banswara, the 4 gates of Mahi-Swaroop-Uday Sagar were opened by one meter each.
Rain alert in these districts today
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Banswara, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Kota, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sirohi, Udaipur, Jalore and Pali today. Along with this, a yellow alert has been issued for rain in Ajmer, Alwar, Baran, Bharatpur, Dausa, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Tonk, Barmer, Churu, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jodhpur, Nagaur and Pali.
