According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, from morning till 5:30 pm on Wednesday (September 4), Jodhpur city recorded 90.6MM, Sirohi 70MM, Mount Abu 25MM, Karauli 22.5MM, Vanasthali 21MM, Barmer 19.2MM and Anta 10MM rain.
Yellow alert for rain in 9 districts
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in 9 districts. There is a yellow alert in Jaipur, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Rajsamand, Pali, Bundi districts. Monsoon will remain active for 4-5 days
The weather centre said that there is a strong possibility of monsoon remaining active in most parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next 4-5 days and heavy rainfall activities continuing at some places. In the last 24 hours, very heavy rainfall has been recorded at many places in Udaipur, Bhilwara and Barmer districts.
Low pressure area formed over Madhya Pradesh
According to the centre, the low pressure area formed over Madhya Pradesh weakened today and turned into a cyclonic circulation and is currently over southwest Rajasthan. It said that another new low pressure area is likely to form in the Bay of Bengal in the next 24 hours. The centre said that there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain with thundershowers in some parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions of western Rajasthan and heavy rain at some places in Jodhpur division for the next 3-4 days.
