Rajasthan : Heavy rain is falling in many districts of Rajasthan. Due to heavy rains in the capital Jaipur, people’s lives are disrupted. At the same time, heavy rains have been recorded in many districts of eastern Rajasthan. It is believed that this rain can break records in Rajasthan. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain at many places in eastern Rajasthan and some places in western Rajasthan in the last 24 hours. Jaipur Meteorological Center spokesperson Radheshyam Sharma said that during this period, heavy and very heavy rains occurred at some places in Churu, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Dausa, Karoli, Jaipur and Dungarpur districts.
Churu’s Taranagar has the highest rainfall
He said that the maximum rainfall in eastern Rajasthan was recorded in Suroth of Karauli (137 mm) and in western Rajasthan in Taranagar of Churu (141 mm). 122 mm rainfall was recorded in Siddhmukh of Churu, 116 mm in Shri Mahavir Ji of Karauli, 106 mm in Rajgarh of Churu, 98 mm in Jaipur tehsil, 97 mm in Sangaria of Hanumangarh, 90 mm in Dewal of Dungarpur and 83 mm to 65 mm rainfall was recorded at some other places. Many people have also lost their lives due to rain. On Sunday (7 July), two brothers died due to the collapse of the roof of a house due to rain in Hanumangarh district.
Two brothers died in Hanumangarh
Hanumangarh’s Tibbi police station officer Jagdish Pandher said that two brothers Amit (24) and Sumit (26) died and three people were injured when the roof of a house collapsed in Tibbi police station area. The injured have been admitted to the town hospital.
Rivers are in spate
Due to continuous rain in many parts of the state, rivers and streams are overflowing in many districts. Sharma said that in the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded in Phalodi at 40.8 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature on Friday night was recorded in Jaisalmer at 30.2 degrees.
