Rajasthan : Monsoon has rained heavily in Rajasthan this time. After entering the south-eastern parts on June 25, heavy rains in the state have disrupted the normal life of the people. Earlier people were troubled by the scorching heat, now heavy rains have made life difficult for the people. According to the data released by the Meteorological Department, this time so far 668.5 mm of rain has been recorded in the state, which is 61 percent more than normal. 51 percent more rain has been recorded in eastern Rajasthan and 77 percent more rain in western Rajasthan. Which is double than before. Due to this, more than 100 people have died in rain-related accidents in the state, but these figures have come out superficially. Their official confirmation is yet to be done.
Waterlogging situation persists in more than 200 villages
Apart from this, heavy rains have affected not only farmers but also common people. More than 200 villages in different parts of the state are waterlogged. Due to which it has become very difficult to collect things of daily use. There has been a huge loss of life and property due to rain in eastern Rajasthan.
Out of 691 dams, 350 more dams have received water
Due to more than normal rainfall, flood conditions have arisen in the state. According to the data released by the Meteorological Department, 6 districts have received twice the normal rainfall. Due to the inflow of water, more than 350 out of 691 small and big dams in the state have overflowed. This has brought happiness among the people that due to the arrival of water in many dams that have been dry for many years, there is a hope of getting rid of the water crisis. But along with good rain, this disaster has also brought tears to the farmers. The continuous rain has washed away their year-long hard work in the fields in one stroke.
Kharif crops suffered heavy losses
Due to heavy rains, the Kharif crops of the farmers of the state have suffered heavy losses. This time in the Kharif season, instead of the target of 1 crore 64 lakh hectares, sowing has been done in only 1 crore 59 lakh hectares. But due to torrential rains, millet, sorghum, pulses, oilseeds cotton and soybean crops have suffered a lot. Seeing the hard work of the farmers getting washed away in the rain, the administration has instructed the Patwari to do Girdawari, so that the final figures can come out as to what is the actual situation. However, many experts believe that this time 30 to 50 percent of the crops may be damaged.
