Congress, BAP and RLP will leave the path of alliance and contest elections against each other. Congress has given ticket to Sarpanch Mahesh Rot from hot seat Chaurasi. Bharatiya Adivasi Party has fielded its chief Anil Katara in the election field. Whereas BJP has given a chance to Karilal Nanoma.

Will Mahesh become MLA from Sarpanch?

Mahesh Rot, Congress candidate from Chaurasi Assembly seat, was the student union president of Mohanlal Sukhadia University in 2017-18. He is currently the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Sansarpur. Since he has been an active Congress worker for 9 years, the party has expressed confidence in him.

Presently BJP’s Karilal is the head.

At the same time, while releasing the second and final list, BJP has given a chance to Karilal Nanoma from Chaurasi Assembly Constituency. Karilal Namoma is currently the head of Simalwada Panchayat Samiti. Karilal has been the former sarpanch of Sadaria Panchayat. Presently his daughter-in-law Rekha is the sarpanch. His wife Hakali Devi has also been a Sarpanch in the past.

On the other hand, Bharatiya Adivasi Party has fielded Anil Katara from Chaurasi Assembly seat. Let us tell you that Anil Katara is also currently a Panchayat Samiti member. Before this, Baap had been winning from this seat twice in a row.

There will be a triangular contest in Chaurasi

Bharatiya Adivasi Party had put an end to the alliance discussions by announcing its candidates for Chaurasi and Salumber assembly seats. After which Congress also distanced itself from the alliance. In such a situation, there will be a triangular and interesting contest between BJP, Congress and BAP on this seat.

History of this seat

In the assembly elections 2018 and 2023, the present MP and then candidate of Bharatiya Adivasi Party, Rajkumar Rot had won the Chaurasi assembly seat. Roat defeated BJP candidate Sushil Katara by a huge margin and received 1 lakh 11 thousand 150 votes.
