Jaipur : the project was proposed in the year 2004. There were many disputes between the two states on this, the farmers and people of the drought affected districts of both the states had to bear the brunt of this. Now Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma have resolved it together. The pending disputes in the center have ended.
Legal action completed on Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river project

Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that there were some differences between the two states, which could have been resolved earlier. But, it did not happen. He said that the public and farmers kept getting troubled. After serious consideration, the obstruction was removed starting from January itself. Both the states will become water-rich. New dimensions will be created in new areas. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that due to the then Congress government, the public had to face water shortage. Now we will not look back. There will be no shortage of water.

MP will spend 35 thousand crores and Rajasthan will spend 37 thousand crores
The project is worth 72 thousand crores. Madhya Pradesh will spend 35 thousand crores and Rajasthan will spend 37 thousand crores. 3.37 lakh hectares of land in Madhya Pradesh will be irrigated. About 30 lakh farmers will benefit. 2.80 lakh hectares of land in Rajasthan will be irrigated. More than 2 lakh farmers will benefit. Farmers from 13 districts of both the states will benefit. 17 dams will be built in this project. Its water storage capacity will be 1477.62 million cubic meters. PM Modi will soon lay the foundation stone of the project.
