Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart starts from today, Deputy CM and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will inaugurate it

Jaipur : The fourth edition of Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart will be held from today on September 15. This important event will be held in joint partnership of Federation of Hotels and Restaurants of Rajasthan and Rajasthan Tourism Department. Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Deputy CM Diya Kumari will attend as chief guests at 6 pm today at Rajasthan International Center. Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart will be inaugurated at Rajasthan International Center this evening, followed by B2B meetings at Birla Auditorium on 14 and 15 September. The delegates participating in the mart will leave for Rajasthan Fame Tour on September 16. More than 200 stalls and more than 600 properties will be showcased in the mart. The event is expected to attract 1,300 buyers and more than 7,000 visitors. Various travel planners, tour operators, travel agents, hoteliers and stakeholders will participate in this mart, who will introduce visitors to various attractions and facilities of Rajasthan. Tourism Secretary Ravi Jain, Additional Director of Tourism Department Rakesh Sharma, President of FHTR Kuldeep Singh Chandela, Senior Vice President Surendra Singh Shapura, General Secretary CA Virendra Singh Shekhawat today informed the media about the entire event.

Tourism Secretary Ravi Jain said that tourism is a ‘word of mouth’ business. There is regular movement of domestic and foreign tourists in Rajasthan. In this perspective, special attention is being given to provide facilities to businessmen, tourists and employers coming to Rajasthan from the country and abroad, and all efforts to promote tourism in RDTM will come to fruition. He also said that special emphasis is being laid on domestic tourism in Rajasthan since the Corona period. When tourists come to Rajasthan, they come to know that Rajasthan is not limited to tourism shown in videos only. In fact, Rajasthan is very rich in terms of tourism, that is why tourism has been given the status of industry. It is not limited only to external tourists, but it also benefits the local people in many ways. Employment opportunities also increase in Rajasthan with the arrival of tourists.

FHTR President Kuldeep Singh Chandela said that this time the theme of RDTM has been decided as wedding, incentive, conference and event. Tourism is a major business in Rajasthan. During B2B meetings in RDTM, tour operators and buyers and stakeholders related to tourism sector will come on one platform. The meet will take the tourism of the state to a new dimension and the number of tourists will also increase. Fame Tour will be organized on 16 September in collaboration with Rato. It includes tours from Jaipur to Mandawa, Jodhpur, Pushkar, Bundi, Ranthambore, Kumbhalgarh. Tour operators coming to the state will get to see the culture of different regions of the state. Along with this, a view gallery has also been built in Barmer from where tourists will be able to see the Pakistan border. He also said that through RDTM, efforts are also being made to promote wedding opportunities in Rajasthan and weddings at new destinations.

Senior Vice President of FHTR Surendra Singh Shahpura said that tourism is a medium to preserve our art and culture. Indians spend crores of rupees on traveling abroad, promoting domestic travel will not only strengthen the country’s economy but we will also be able to keep our culture intact for the future generation. The aim of RDTM is to attract more and more tourists from within and outside the state and strengthen the state’s economy. This mart will provide an opportunity to tourism stakeholders to showcase their products in various sectors like heritage, adventure, wildlife, pilgrimage, wedding, eco-tourism and village tourism. Along with this, B2B meetings will also be organized, which will promote business opportunities and networking.
