Rajasthan government delegation led by Rathore participated in Doha Investor Road Show

Addressing investors at the Doha Investor Roadshow, Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore said, “With the excellent geographical location and abundant natural resources of the state, Rajasthan is emerging as one of the most favourable destinations for business. We have either changed or are in the process of changing many government policies, rules and guidelines so that the environment in the state can be conducive to business and trade and it becomes easier to do business in the state.”

Emphasis on making Rajasthan a cost competitive state

Rathore further said that we have the political will to make Rajasthan a developed state and this is evident from the fact that in our very first year we have organized a Global Investment Summit so that we can not only sign MoUs but also turn them into real projects by implementing them on the ground. Another big focus of ours is on reducing the cost of doing business so that Rajasthan can be made a cost competitive state.

Indian ambassador said- Rajasthan is writing a new chapter

Addressing the investors at the road show, Indian Ambassador to Qatar Vipul said, “The Rajasthan government is trying to write a new chapter of the state’s cooperation with Qatar through the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024. In view of the economic and policy reforms being undertaken by the state government, I urge Qatari investors and business community to visit Rajasthan. The Indian Embassy in Qatar is excited to play the role of a facilitator between the business community of Rajasthan and Qatar.”

While making a presentation at this investor roadshow, Saurabh Swamy, Additional Commissioner (Investment), Bureau of Investment Promotion, said, “The Rajasthan government aims to become a US$350 billion economy in the next five years and double its exports in the next few years. For us, Qatar’s sectors such as real estate, agritech, natural gas, logistics and petrochemicals and the expertise and resources of these industries are of great importance.

Through one-stop shop, single window clearance system, streamlined regulatory regime, digitized GIS-enabled industrial land database and a variety of fiscal incentives, we are looking forward to a good and long-term partnership with the business community of Qatar. Before Qatar, the delegation led by the Minister of Industry and Commerce had visited the United Arab Emirates as an international outreach of the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024. Apart from the Minister of Industry and Commerce, the delegation includes Secretary of General Administration Department Dr. Joga Ram, Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister Siddharth Sihag, Additional Commissioner (Investment) of Bureau of Investment Promotion Saurabh Swami and other senior officials of the state government.

With this investor road show organized in Doha, this phase of the road show of ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 to be held in UAE and Qatar has ended. It is worth noting that under the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024, the state government is trying to reach the major commercial centers of the country and the world, so that domestic and foreign investors and institutions can be invited to invest in the state. Under this, recently a high-level delegation led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma visited South Korea and Japan and during this visit of the Chief Minister, many South Korean and Japanese companies and institutions showed interest in doing business in Rajasthan.
