Jaipur : Devasthan Minister Joraram Kumawat gave this information in the Assembly. He was responding to the debate on the grant demand of Devasthan Department (Demand No. 37) in the Assembly on Wednesday night. After the discussion, the House passed the grant demands of Rs 85 crore 22 lakh 81 thousand of the Devasthan Department by voice vote. The minister said in his reply that four trains have been operated for darshan of Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Due to which 2999 senior citizens got the benefit of darshan.
15 thousand senior citizens will be provided air travel
He said, “Our government will also arrange travel for 36 thousand senior citizens under the scheme in the year 2024-25, in which 15 thousand senior citizens will be taken to Ayodhya by train and 15 thousand senior citizens will be taken to various pilgrimage sites, Rameswaram, Jagannath Puri, Gangasagar, Tirupati, Kamakhya, Mathura-Vrindavan, Mathura-Ayodhya etc. At the same time, six thousand senior citizens will be provided air travel to Pashupatinath, Kathmandu (Nepal).”
100 crores for Khatushyamji temple
He said that the state government will provide grandeur to Khatushyamji temple by spending Rs 100 crore. Kumawat said that apart from Rajasthan, lakhs of tourists from the country and abroad visit the temples of the Devsthan Department daily, which is also increasing the economic income of the state.
