Jaipur : Bhajanlal government has changed its stand in the Supreme Court regarding the allegations against former minister Shanti Dhariwal and other then officials in the famous single lease case of Jaipur which is about 10 years old. About six months ago, the government had given a clean chit to everyone in the affidavit, but now it has presented a new affidavit saying that a case is made out against everyone. In a new affidavit, the government urged the Supreme Court to justify the ACB’s decision to withdraw the case and cancel the High Court order granting relief to Dhariwal. Additional Advocate General (AAG) Shivmangal Sharma said that in April 2024, the officers presented the affidavit at their own level without taking legal advice, the government changed the officer in-charge of the case.

made serious allegations

AAG Sharma said that ACB, influenced by Dhariwal and others, submitted 3 closure reports. For this reason, the ACB court rejected two closure reports and did not take any decision on the third one. Meanwhile, the accused went to the High Court, on January 17, 2023, the High Court accepted the state government’s decision to withdraw the case. Sharma requested to send the case again to the trial court.

It is noteworthy that on June 29, 2011, Jaipur Development Authority issued a single lease in the name of Shailendra Garg of Ganpati Construction. In 2013, Ramsharan Singh complained about this to the Anti-Corruption Bureau. After this the lease was cancelled, but the then ACS GS Sandhu, RAS officer Nishkam Diwakar, Zone Deputy Commissioner Omkarmal Saini and others were arrested. ACB also interrogated Dhariwal. After the death of Ramsharan Singh, his son Surendra Singh agreed to withdraw the case.
