Jaipur : Jaipur Police has got a big success in the case of threatening and demanding extortion from businessmen. Vaishali Nagar police station has arrested notorious bandit Jagan Gurjar from Jaipur on Tuesday. Police say that he may be involved in the supply of weapons in Jaipur city. This action has been carried out under the leadership of Jaipur DCP West Amit Kumar. Police is still engaged in interrogating notorious bandit Jagan Gurjar. After interrogating dacoit Jagan Gurjar, the police will reach many criminals.
Police claim that the entire network was being run from Ajmer’s high security jail. On Monday, Jagan Gurjar went to Ajmer High Security Jail to meet his brother Pan Singh. After this, he was returning from Ajmer to Dholpur. Then on Monday evening, after getting input, Vaishali Nagar Police Station took Jagan Gurjar into custody. After interrogation, the police arrested him. On Monday also, the police arrested 9 hardcore criminals including 3 criminals from Ajmer High Security Jail in the case of extortion and illegal arms smuggling.
Who is Jagan Gurjar?
Jagan Gurjar, who has become synonymous with terror in Rajasthan, is a resident of Bhavtipura in Dang area of Dholpur district. In 1994, his brother-in-law was killed, to take revenge for which he killed a man from the same village. Then to escape from the police, he took refuge in the ravines of Chambal along with his wife and three brothers and formed his own gang. Jagan created a lot of terror in Chambal spread across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh for seven years.
More than 150 cases filed
More than 150 cases related to murder, loot, ransom, kidnapping, burglary and robbery are registered against Jagan in three states. Dacoit Jagan surrendered for the first time in the year 2001. But, he started spreading terror as soon as he came out of jail. After this Jagan Gurjar surrendered in front of Sachin Pilot in Kaimri village on 31 January 2009. In the year 2010, he attended his daughter’s wedding in police custody. Later on the insistence of the family, he renounced crime. But, he started committing crimes again as soon as he came out of jail on bail.
Girraj Malinga was also threatened
In the year 2022, Jagan Gurjar again came into the limelight after threatening Bari Congress MLA Girraj Malinga. The police had announced a reward of fifty thousand rupees on him. However, Jagan Gurjar surrendered before the Karauli police on the late evening of 7 February 2022. However, as soon as he came out on bail, he again became active in the world of crime. The police was looking for Jagan Gurjar for a long time.
