Bikaner : Narcotic substance heroin is being continuously smuggled into the Indian border from across the border and smugglers are being caught every day. Last night also BSF Rajasthan Police arrested a smuggler. Four kilograms eighty grams of heroin was recovered from this smuggler, which is worth Rs 20 crore in the international market. The smuggler caught is Saddam Hussain, a resident of Srikaranpur.
Police got inputs
Srikaranpur CO Sanjeev Chauhan said that as per the instructions of SP Gaurav Yadav, an area dominance campaign has been launched under which the police activated its informer network. Police station in-charge Surendra Kumar Prajapat got inputs of heroin smuggling in this area from the informer network. The police started blockade and late in the night a person was seen coming from Padampur towards Srikaranpur and when this person was searched, four kilograms eighty grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. This heroin was ordered from Pakistan. The smuggler Saddam Hussain who was caught is a resident of Srikaranpur. At present, the police is busy interrogating this smuggler.
Heroin comes through drones
Let us tell you that Pakistani smugglers drop consignments of heroin in packets in the Indian border through drones and local smugglers pick up that consignment. This consignment of heroin is smuggled to other states including Punjab. Recently also, BSF and police had recovered a huge consignment of heroin in Anupgarh, Raisinghnagar sector. The value of the heroin caught today is around Rs 20 crore in the international market. Yesterday, the SP had instructed all the agencies to coordinate with each other and take action.
