Jodhpur : Police has arrested 5 people while busting a big gang circulating fake notes in Jodhpur city of Rajasthan. Fake notes worth Rs 45,500 have been recovered from them. All these notes are of Rs 500 each. Police have expressed the possibility that this currency is going from Pakistan to other parts of India via Punjab. However, the police is investigating the whole matter, and is exploring every angle by interrogating the accused.
Arrest made on RTO office road
Jodhpur ACP Chhavi Sharma gave more information about this and said, ‘Mata police station officer Vikram Singh Charan had received information that some people were trying to circulate fake currency in the market. Acting on this information, the police station officer reached 80 feet RTO office road and detained 5 suspicious people sitting in a car and started interrogating them. During the search, fake notes worth Rs 45500 were recovered from their possession. During interrogation, it was revealed that these people used to take opium from Jodhpur to Punjab and they used to get these fake notes in Punjab.
Fake notes worth 4 lakhs were spent for fun
ACP Sharma said that all the five accused arrested are residents of Phalodi district. All the accused are between 18 and 22 years of age. So far, they have spent about four lakh rupees in fake notes for fun. During interrogation, these people have told that they got these fake notes from Mangilal of Lohawat. Currently, a case has been registered in the nodal police station Sardarpura in the case of fake currency, and the police is investigating this matter. Let us tell you that earlier also fake notes were sent by Pakistan via Barmer Jaisalmer. But now these accused have revealed that fake notes are coming to India from Pakistan via Punjab route. The security agency is investigating this matter.
