Rajasthan will get scholarship of Rs 48 thousand in 4 years from 8th to 12th, will have to give this exam

Bikaner : Notification for National Means cum Merit Scholarship Selection Exam (NMMS Exam) has been issued by the Directorate of Secondary Education, Bikaner. This selection examination to be held at the state level will be held on January 19 next year i.e. in 2025. To appear in this exam, candidates will have to apply online through Shala Darpan portal. Its application process on Shala Darpan portal will start from November 20. Candidates will be able to apply for this till 10th December. The admission cards of the applied candidates will be uploaded on the Shala Darpan portal itself on January 10.

Scholarship of Rs 48 thousand in 4 years

Scholarship will be given to 5 thousand 471 candidates of class 8th who are successful in this exam. According to the rules, if you study regularly from 9th class to 12th class, Rs 12,000 will be given as scholarship every year. That means, in 4 years, every selected student will get a total of Rs 48 thousand as scholarship. Students of class 8th studying in government schools of the state will be eligible to apply for this. In this, it will be mandatory to score minimum 40 percent marks for selection. There will be relaxation in minimum cut off marks for SC and ST category candidates. Disabled category candidates will also get 3 percent reservation in their category as per rules.

180 questions will have to be answered in 3 hours

Candidates appearing in the National Means cum Merit Scholarship i.e. NMMS exam will be given three hours time to solve the paper. Candidates will have to solve 180 questions in the stipulated time of three hours. Its paper will be in two parts of Set and Mate. Candidates with special needs will be given extra time of half an hour. To appear in this examination, those students of class 8th will be considered eligible who have secured 55 percent marks in class 7th and it will be necessary for them to get 55 percent marks in class 8th also. Only then will selection for scholarship be made. There will be a relaxation of 5 percent marks for SC and ST category candidates. Apart from this, the total annual income of the candidate’s parents should not be more than Rs 3.5 lakh.
