Rajasthan’s son martyred in Manipur, body to reach Jhunjhunu today

Jhunjhunu : Army Havildar Vinod Singh Shekhawat, resident of Kajda village of the district, was martyred on Sunday. Forty-year-old Shekhawat was posted on the Myanmar border in Manipur. Suddenly his health deteriorated. He was brought to Imphal. Where they could not be saved. The army has called it a battle casualty. The mortal remains of Havildar Shekhawat will reach Jaipur at 7.40 pm on Monday evening. The mortal remains of Havildar Shekhawat will be taken to his native village Kajra via road from Jaipur on Tuesday. Where his funeral will take place with state honours. After the news of martyrdom of Havildar Shekhawat, the atmosphere in Kajra village of Jhunjhunu became sad. Manjeet Singh told that Vinod Singh had joined the army in 2004. Wife and children live in Jaipur. He has two daughters and a son.

Tiranga Yatra will be taken out and funeral will be held with state honours.

Sarpanch representative Manjeet Singh Tanwar said that on Tuesday, martyr Vinod Singh Shekhawat will be cremated with state honors by taking out a tricolor procession on bikes from Kangra Chungi to the funeral site.

Was recognized as a social worker

Tanwar told that Shaheed Vinod Singh was also known as a social worker in Shekhawat village. Shekhawat was a manly and friendly person. He used to actively participate in the social work happening in the village. There is a sad atmosphere in the entire village after the news of martyrdom of Vinod Singh Shekhawat.
