TAD ministers including the Chief Minister were engaged in the by-election. The TAD minister was roaming from village to village like a resident of this place, despite this the public expressed their confidence in favor of BAP. In this election, the people of Chaurasi proved that money power, alcohol power and muscle power will not suffice. The MP alleged that the BJP misused the government machinery. BJP had won the seat
It is noteworthy that Shanta Meena of Bharatiya Janata Party has won from Salumber seat. BJP candidate Shanta Meena won by 1285 votes by continuously leading in the last two rounds. He defeated Jitesh Katara of Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP). Here Congress remained at third place. BJP’s Shanta Meena got a total of 84428 votes. BAP’s Jitesh Katara stood second with 83143 votes. Whereas Congress’s Reshma Meena got only 26760 votes.
