New Delhi, December 7 (IANS). Armed Forces Flag Day is celebrated in the country today. This day is celebrated in honor of the brave soldiers of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. On this occasion, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the Armed Forces Flag Day.
Rajnath Singh said that on this occasion I salute all the serving, retired soldiers and their families. He also congratulated them heartily on this day. He said that this day is an opportunity to recognize the indomitable courage, sacrifice and dedication of our brave soldiers and ex-servicemen. Our armed forces are a strong security shield for us, which is ready to protect us in every situation.
The Union Minister further said that our forces are ready to protect us not only from external attacks but also during natural disasters. His sacrifice and discipline is a source of inspiration for every countryman. Armed Forces Flag Day gives us this message as well as an opportunity to fulfill our responsibilities towards retired soldiers, their families and brave women.
The Government is taking every step that needs to be taken for the welfare of retired soldiers, their families and their children. We always strive to fulfill their education, medical and other similar needs. We also expect the citizens of the country to come forward to promote the welfare works related to our soldiers. Even your small financial contribution can prove to be very important for one of our retired soldiers or their family.
He further said that for social welfare, it is the responsibility of the citizen to earn money with a hundred hands and donate with a thousand hands. He appealed to the people to express their gratitude towards our soldiers by contributing as much as possible to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. Let us all together ensure that we also show the same sense of dedication towards our brave soldiers, which our soldiers have towards our countrymen. Jai Hind.
