Bikaner News Desk, Bikaner Under the innovation of Secondary Education Department, the common half-yearly examination of 40 lakh students of class 9th to 12th at the state level will start from December 17. The Education Department has released the time table and guidelines for the half-yearly examinations on Tuesday. The same half-yearly examination will be conducted across the state from 17th to 27th December. Whereas schools with less number of students will be able to conduct the written examination and practical examination of selected subjects at their own level from 12th to 16th December. The printed question papers of Registrar Education Departmental examinations will be delivered directly to the district level three days in advance. To maintain confidentiality, papers will not be kept in private schools. The papers will be kept in the police station. On the other hand, teacher leaders have expressed opposition to conducting half-yearly examinations during the winter vacation period. It is being told that the duration of winter vacation may increase. The exam will be held in two shifts The half yearly examination will be conducted in two shifts. The examination will be conducted in the first shift from 9.30 am to 12.45 pm. Whereas in the second shift the examination will be conducted from 1.15 pm to 4.30 pm. All the papers of class 9th will be conducted in the first shift. Class 10th examination will be conducted in the second shift. Whereas the exams of 11th and 12th will be conducted subject wise in both the shifts. Security of paper is strong, joint director is responsible in case of leakage The exam question papers will be printed at the state level and sent to the district level 3 days before the exam date. After this, the paper will reach the block level two days before. PEEO will get the paper 1 day before. In case of paper leakage, the responsibility of the Joint Director will remain. Papers will not be kept in private schools but will be kept in the police station. In case of unavoidable circumstances, papers will have to be kept in PEEO, UCEEO schools and security arrangements will have to be made at night. Responsibility has also been given for monitoring. 40 new government schools opened in 23 districts of the state including Bikaner, admissions will be done from this session. With the declaration of assembly by-election results, the state government has announced the opening of 40 new primary schools in 23 districts of the state. In this, four schools have been opened in Bikaner. All four schools have been opened in rural areas. One school each has been opened in Bajju Khalsa, Kolayat, Panchu and Pugal blocks. Under the changed budget announcement for the year 2024-25, 40 new government primary schools have been opened. All these schools are being started from session 2024-25. Allocation of posts in newly opened schools will be done from the reserved posts available in the department as per the criteria prescribed in the staffing pattern. At the same time, 40 government primary schools running in 26 districts of the state have been upgraded to higher secondary schools. In this, a school in Nokha block of Bikaner district has been upgraded. In upgraded schools, admission to class 6 will be available from this academic session. Most of the schools that have been upgraded have enrollments of more than 100. It has been clarified in the order that if there is sufficient enrolment, classes 7th and 8th can also be started simultaneously. Two teachers will be appointed in new schools on the basis of enrollment Allocation of posts in newly opened schools will be done from the previously available posts as per the staffing pattern. The concerned DEO Primary will have to make alternative arrangements until the government building is available for running the school. Two level one teachers will be appointed in the new schools. The concerned CBEO will have to make arrangements for these teachers from the government primary and upper primary schools of their area where the number of teachers is more than the enrolment. Fee fixed at Rs 20 per student The department has fixed a fee of Rs 20 per student for paper printing. This amount will be collected by the Joint Director and sent to the Registrar of Education Departmental Examinations, Bikaner. Opposition to the examination during the holidays: Teacher leaders of many districts have also opposed the conduct of examinations during the winter holidays. But as per the time table of the Education Department, the examinations will continue till December 27. Whereas there will be winter holidays in schools from 25th December to 5th January.
