Rajsamand 6 farmers producing good quality Amla were honored

In Rajsamand : Rajsamand, a seminar was organized among Amla producing farmers and tips were given to the farmers to get more profit from Amla production. Amla producing farmers of the district participated in the seminar under the chairmanship of Deputy Director Agriculture and ex-officio Project Director Atma Auditorium, Deputy Director Horticulture Om Singh Rana. The main objective of the Kisan Goshti was to provide more benefits to the Amla producing farmers by connecting them with Farmer Producer Organizer (FPO).

75 farmers learned tricks

75 advanced Amla producing farmers of the district participated in the seminar. In the seminar, all the farmers agreed to join the FPO and put forth their ideas to enrich the FPO. Sajjan Singh Chundawat, director of Joganiya Farmer Producer Company Limited from Amet, said that his FPO has been functioning for the last 2 years and has 300 members. The FPO also has a license to sell fertilizers, seeds and plant protection chemicals and the same is supplied to the farmers at a reasonable rate.

The FPO wants to help in improving the standard of living of the farmers by connecting the Amla producing farmers and providing them technical and financial assistance in value addition and processing of Amla. An exhibition of Amla brought by the farmers from their fields was organized in the seminar. In which awards were distributed to 6 farmers producing best quality Amla.
