Rajsamand : Rajsamand Special rebate scheme was launched by Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board Headquarters Jaipur with the aim of encouraging industries and establishments. Under which now in Rajsamand district, such industries and establishments which were running without environmental clearance can now apply and get approval for establishment and operation of their industry. According to Ashish Kumar Baurasi, Regional Officer, Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board, Rajsamand, a special exemption scheme has been started with the aim of encouraging those industries and establishments which comply with the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. Control) Act, 1981 and have not obtained establishment approval and operation approval before already established or operated.
The objective of this scheme is to encourage those industries, which till now are operating without these approvals, to ensure environmental compliance by obtaining approvals. This scheme will be applicable for 60 days, which will be from 01 December to 29 January 2025. The scheme will be applicable to those industries which fall in the red, orange and green categories as per the categorization of the State Board and which are applying for approval for the first time. These industries have to apply for approval of establishment and approval to operate as per the procedure and fees prescribed under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981, but as a special exemption, they are required to pay the previous fees for those years. Would not have to be done, when they were operating without approval. The scheme aims to encourage industries to seek approval as well as promote compliance with environmental regulations, this step provides an opportunity to industries to comply without heavy duty burden.
