Rajsamand : The 18th Kumbhalgarh Mahotsav started colorfully on Sunday at Kumbhalgarh, the invincible fort of Maharana Kumbha, a lover of architecture and music. Artists coming from different districts of Rajasthan displayed the cultural art of different provinces of Rajasthan. From Pratap Circle to the venue of the function, art was displayed with drums and various musical instruments. On behalf of the Gypsy organization, 50 Gypsies were also included in the procession. During this, Rajasthani artists, local hoteliers, forest department, tourists, Indian Archaeological Department and local citizens were present. The procession left from Pratap Circle and entered Rampol through Halla Pole, View Point and the main entry with flower showers and reached the Ganesh temple located in Durg. Where after the puja, all the guests reached Yajnavedi Chowk.
Where Kumbhalgarh Festival was inaugurated by Subdivision Officer Govind Singh Ratnu, Udaipur Tourism Corporation Officer Shikha Saxena, Kumbhalgarh Pradhan Kamla Dasana, Tehsildar Parvat Singh Rathore, Development Officer Mangilal Gurjar, Hotel Association President Bharatpal Singh Shekhawat and Heritage Society Secretary Kuber Singh Solanki and other guests. Worshiped the picture of Maharana Kumbha at the Yagya Vedi complex ceremony site. The function was started by Langa Party Jeevan Nath who came from Jodhpur and the party from Kesariya Balam Avoni Padharo Hare Desh. Deputy Director of Tourism Department, Shikha Saxena said that Rajasthani glimpse will be visible in this festival which will last for three days. Along with the inauguration, various performances by folk artists took place on the first day from 11 am to 3 pm. In which Satyanarayan Kachchi Ghodi from Bundi, Kalbeliya dance from Appa Nath Jodhpur, Jeevan Nath Manganiyar artist from Jodhpur with Ghoomar from Meena Devi Barmer, Chakri dance from Asha Bai Bara, Sahariya dance from Gopal Dhanuk Bara, White Anggi Gair dance from Tagaram Barmer and Famous dances of Rajasthan including Chari dance were presented. Besides, various competitions including Safa Dams Competition, Rangoli Mandana, Rassa Kashi were organized in which the winners were awarded by the Tourism Department. Apart from this, Durgashankar who came from Chittor entertained the people by becoming an impersonator.
