Rajsamand : The university is not serious about studying two academic programs simultaneously. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has expressed concern regarding this. According to the information, in April 2022, UGC had decided to do two courses together. It issued guidelines for this in the month of September. More than two years have passed since the guidelines issued by UGC but till now no university has taken any step in this direction. UGC is continuously receiving complaints in this regard. In such a situation, students are not able to get admission in two courses simultaneously.
This reason is coming to the fore
Admission One thing is coming to light after not being given. That is, sometimes there is talk of submitting migration certificate and sometimes admission is refused on the ground of not having school leaving certificate. Due to which students are facing problems. Seeing the seriousness of this matter, UGC Secretary Professor Manish R Joshi has written a letter to the universities. He has clearly told these institutions in the country that such an arrangement will have to be made that students do not face any problem in taking admission in two courses.
Initiative was taken in 2012, this problem was pointed out
Together This issue of completing two degrees has not been raised for the first time. Earlier in 2012 also, UGC had formed a committee. This committee was headed by Hyderabad University VC Furqan Qamar. In his suggestion to UGC, it was said that students should be allowed to take an additional degree by studying in regular mode. The second degree can be done in open or distance mode from the same or some other university. But one cannot be allowed to complete two degrees simultaneously in regular mode. This can lead to both academic and administrative problems. At that time these suggestions did not get much support. Therefore work could not be done on this guideline. A committee was formed in 2019. The work of this committee was to find out how two degrees can be completed simultaneously in different universities or in the same university, online or distance mode or part time mode.
