Rajsamand World Heritage Festival begins at Kumbhalgarh Fort, procession taken out

Rajsamand : The three-day Kumbhalgarh Festival started today at the World Heritage Kumbhalgarh Fort complex in Rajsamand. On this occasion, the program was started by lighting the lamp in front of the portrait of Maharana Kumbha in the fort premises. Before this, a procession was taken out from Halla Pol to Kumbhalgarh Fort. In the festival organized by the Tourism Department and the District Administration, colorful performances will be given by folk artists every morning while dance and music will be presented by classical artists in the night.

Today, on the first day, folk dance performances including Padharo Mhare Desh, Lahariya, Kalbeliya dance were given. Today at 7 pm, Ratna Dutt will perform Kathak, Odissi and Bharatnatyam. Tourists from outside including Gujarat expressed happiness while enjoying the festival. Kumbhalgarh Festival is organized every year from 1st to 3rd December where domestic and foreign tourists enjoy classical music and dance along with folk artists. On Monday, 2nd December, at 7 am, Kailash Chandra Mothiya and group violin will perform, Sawai Bhat. And the group will present Sufi singing. On Tuesday, December 3, Barkha Joshi and the group will present Kathak and other folk songs. Mohit Gangwani and group will perform tabla playing.
