Ranthambore: Three devotees going to visit Ganesh temple died after being hit by a train, mourning prevails

Sawai Madhopur : Three people who had gone to Ranthambore Ganeshji padyatra from the city died tragically after being hit by a train. All three were residents of Bada Mohalla of Gangapur City. A teenager was also among them. The incident took place on the railway track near Neemoda station of Sapotra subdivision of Karauli district at around 11 pm on Thursday night. The bodies were taken to Sapotra Hospital, where they were handed over to the family after post-mortem. Narauli Dang Police Station in-charge Abjeet Kumar said that Shyam 14 son of Guddu alias Deepak, Kalu alias Darshan 35 son of Ramesh and Tarun 28 son of Ramesh Valmiki resident of Harijan Basti Bada Mohalla, who were involved in the padyatra going from Gangapur City to Ranthambore, were walking on the railway track due to waterlogging at various places. During this, they were hit by a superfast express train coming from Gangapur City on the track near Neemoda station. Due to this, they died on the spot.

The train driver informed the nearby Nemoda station master about the incident. On the information of the station master, Narauli police reached the spot. The mutilated bodies of the deceased were kept in the mortuary of Sapotra Hospital. The police identified the deceased through social media and other means. On Friday morning, when the relatives of the deceased reached Sapotra, the post-mortem was conducted.

Mourning in the neighborhood

All the three deceased lived in the same locality in Gangapur City. Due to this, the entire locality is in mourning. The family members are inconsolable. Among the deceased, Darshan and Tarun were working in the Nagar Parishad on contract.
