Barmer : Ravindra Singh Bhati, MLA of Shiv Vidhan Sabha located in Barmer, Rajasthan, met the Barmer Jaisalmer Chief of Discom regarding the electricity problems of Jaisalmer farmers and held talks for an early solution. During the talks that lasted for about an hour, Bhati wrote on many issues. He wanted assurance for which he warned of protesting in front of the Discom office. However, after long talks and consensus was reached on many issues, the matter was resolved. But Ravindra Bhati made many allegations against the Discom employees.
While talking to the media, Shiv MLA told that these days Rabi season is going on in the district. The government is claiming to provide electricity for 8 hours. But we are not getting uninterrupted electricity even for hardly 4 hours. In such a situation, the farmers sowed the crops. But now we are not able to irrigate. Crops are burning and farmers are crying tears of blood.
Discom officials are careless
Ravindra Bhati said that Discom officials are careless. Log book of electricity schedule is not even maintained in any GSS. Electricity tripping is happening again and again. No action is taken on fault complaint for several days. The personnel do not even receive the phone. Troubled by this, farmers are staging dharnas and demonstrating at many places. But Discom is not paying attention to this. In such a situation, being a public representative, it is my duty to fight for the rights of farmers regarding this serious problem. Today we have met the officials regarding this and have received proper assurance. If the problems of the farmers are not resolved in time, they will be forced to sit on strike.
The incident of assault on JEN was politically motivated.
A few days later, Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati scolded JEN in the public hearing organized on the electricity problems and then said that JEN assaulted some people and obstructed government work. Farmers had come for hearing regarding the electricity problem. But the officials did not give any proper assurance. If there was a large crowd then some snatching might have taken place, being a public representative I had the right to demand answers if any negligence came to light. But the officers do not want to do the work and to avoid this they allege that the matter is politically motivated.

During this, Ravindra Singh Bhati made serious allegations against the Discom employees and said that the officers do not come to GSS for many days and the farmers do not even get a satisfactory answer. Discriminating in the same area, they provide electricity to their favorites on a regular basis as per their wish. The distressed farmer reaches out to these workers with her plea. Bribes are demanded, there are many such personnel who are taking money. Whose screen shots have been given to the officials today. If no action is taken then a press conference will be held to reveal the names of the guilty personnel.
