Jaipur : MP Ummedram Beniwal and Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati, who contested against each other from Barmer Lok Sabha seat, which is one of the most talked about and hot seats in the country in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, are once again in the news. This time both these leaders of Rajasthan came into the limelight due to sharing the stage in a road show and program organized in Barmer on Sunday. After a poster of BMP party and these two being seen together, there was a stir in the political corridors of Rajasthan.
Ravindra Bhati and Ummedaram seen together
In fact, Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati and Congress MP Ummedram Beniwal were seen together in a road show and program organized in Barmer. Ravindra Singh Bhati and Ummedram Beniwal contested the Lok Sabha elections against each other and both of them attacked each other fiercely. Ravindra Bhati contested the election as an independent candidate and gave a tough fight to Congress’s Ummedram by getting about 5.5 lakh votes. Both the leaders attended the program of the tribal society in Ramsar of Shiv assembly constituency on the occasion of World Tribal Rights Day. Apart from these two leaders, Rajasthan’s famous leader MP and tribal leader Rajkumar Roat was also present in this program.
Amin Khan had failed in the elections
Political experts say that the biggest reason for Congress’ victory in the Lok Sabha elections was the caste equation. Ravindra Singh Bhati contested as an independent candidate relying on the support of the original OBC Rajputs and minorities. He succeeded in getting the original OBC Rajput community on his side, but relied on Amin Khan to get the minority community on his side. But Amin Khan was not able to get the minority community in Bhati’s favour in the Lok Sabha like he did in the assembly elections. Minority voters did not reveal their cards till the last day of the election and in the end 80 percent of the vote bank went with the Congress. In such a situation, the Congress succeeded in winning the election on its own on the basis of the equations of the Jat, minority and Dalit community.
Discussion on formation of new caste equations
During the Lok Sabha elections, Congress leader and former MLA Amin Khan had accused Congress leaders of sabotage and defeat in the assembly elections and opposed the return of former Congress district president Fateh Khan to the party, but the party ignored him, due to which Amin Khan rebelled against the party and supported Ravindra Singh Bhati. After this, Congress also expelled him. After the defeat in the elections, both Amin Khan and Ravindra Singh Bhati were busy in making new equations. In such a situation, the photo of Ravindra Singh Bhati and Amin Khan in the poster related to the third session of BMP in Rajasthan state and sharing the stage with Vaman Meshram is pointing towards a new political khichri.
