Red onion from Alwar district is going to the south for the first time, demand increased

For the last three days, 5-6 trucks are being sent from Alwar Mandi to the southern states. There are preparations to send large quantities of onions to these states in the coming days. Onions are produced well in the southern states. This time due to rain, onion has got spoiled there, due to which demand has been sent to Alwar. It is being told that South Indians are liking the taste of Alwar onion. Onions are being supplied from Alwar Mandi to places like Visapatnam, Madurai, Rourkela, Srikakulam, Vijayawada, Tirchi and Hyderabad. Onions are being imported from Alwar in other states of the country including Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Arrival of 70 thousand bags: According to the information, about 70 thousand pieces of onion arrived in Alwar Mandi on Sunday. During this period, onion prices are being decided on the basis of moisture content. At present, the price of wet onion in the market is Rs 20 to 28 and dry onion is Rs 28 to 33 per kg. There is good demand for Alwar onion in various states. Onions are being sent from here to the south also for the last three days. At the same time, price instability is occurring due to some moisture in onion. In such a situation, farmers should bring dried onions. This will provide good prices for onion.
