Jaipur : Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has given instructions to complete drinking water and irrigation projects in Rajasthan on time. It has also warned of strict action against those who are negligent. The CM was reviewing the works of Water Resources, Indira Gandhi Canal and Irrigated Area Development and Water Utility Department in the Chief Minister’s Office on Monday. He directed to take strict action against contractors and officials who cause unnecessary delay in the work of projects.
A target was given to prepare the project report of connecting the surplus water of Jakham river and dam of Mahi basin to Jaisamand Dam and bringing the surplus water of Mahi and Som rivers to Jawai Dam in 4 months. The Chief Minister asked to immediately start the process of acquiring land for the construction of flaps in the upper part of Dungri Dam and Isarda Dam and to give appropriate compensation to the affected people.
Neemrana and Japanese Industrial Area will get ERCP water!
Instructions were given to include water utility points for Neemrana and Ghilot Japanese Industrial Area in the PKC-ERCP project. Also directed that the project related to converting four natural depressions built on the main canal of Indira Gandhi Canal Department into reservoirs should be completed through PHED on the basis of local plans.
