Mumbai, December 4 (IANS). Veteran actress Rekha will soon be seen in ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’. She will take her fans on a trip down memory lane in this show.
Dancing with comedian Krishna Abhishek, who plays Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha recreated the timeless chemistry from the film ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’ on “The Great Indian Kapil Show”.
Netflix has released a new promo for the upcoming episode. In this show, Krishna will be seen in Amitabh’s iconic look of ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’. In this, he is seen spreading the magic of ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’ with Rekha. Both of them danced together on the song, in which Rekha showed her beautiful moves.
The makers shared the promo on their Instagram account with the caption, “Dil bechain hai to see Rekha ji. Watch the Queen i.e. Rekha ji in the new episode of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’.
In the same promo, Kapil also shared the memorable experience of being a contestant in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and interacting with Amitabh.
Kapil said, “When we were playing KBC with Bachchan sahib, my mother was sitting in the front row. She asked her, ‘Devi ji, what did you eat?’ ,
Before Kapil could speak further, Rekha interrupted and said that she remembered her mother’s answer. He said ‘dal-roti’.
Later, Kapil supported actress Rekha and said that she is right. Rekha said smilingly, “Ask me, I remember each and every dialogue.”
Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan shared screen space in nine films in the 1970s and 1980s. During this time, rumors of their alleged affair spread, even though Amitabh married Jaya. But their relationship is said to have ended in the early 1980s. Later all three appeared together in Yash Chopra’s film ‘Silsila’.
The second season of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ started on September 21 on Netflix. Govinda, Shakti Kapoor and Chunky Pandey were seen in Kapil’s show last week.
