Jhunjhunu : A case of robber bride has come to light from Kuhadwas village of Buhana area in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. Just a month after the marriage, the bride fled with 25 lakh cash and jewellery worth lakhs of rupees, which the victim Ghanshyam Sharma had brought after marriage from Punjab. Regarding the incident, the youth has registered a case against 5 people including his wife. He told- “He got married to a girl named Ashu on 25 February in Malerkotla, Punjab. He was also engaged earlier on 26 January.”
From engagement to marriage, Aman Kaur, Gursewak Prince and Kuljinder Kaur, acquaintances of Ashu, swindled 25 lakhs including gold and silver jewellery. These people had transferred most of the money from Ghanshyam online. They had taken money in the name of not being in a good financial condition. However, Ashu fled from her in-laws’ house just 1 month after the marriage. After this, the phones of the bride and her acquaintances are also switched off.
The victim received death threats
The victim says that Ashu’s relatives are not sending him and they are also threatening to kill me. At the same time, a demand of four lakh rupees is being made to send his wife. However, the police is now investigating the matter. Let us tell you that in Rajasthan, not only in Jhunjhunu but also in other districts, many such gangs of looteri dulhan are active, who trap elderly young men in their net. They run away after extorting money. Such people also have professional lawyers, who many times keep their side strong even after making mistakes in the court.
