Reliance on Ajmer fire safety cylinder, if Rs 2 crore is received from BFC, the entire system will be installed.

Ajmer : JLN Hospital, the largest in Ajmer division, is still yearning for fire safety. In the name of fire safety, the hospital administration has only cylinders. The special thing is that all the preparations for fire safety in the hospital building had been done, but the complete system for this has still not been brought. The pipeline which was laid earlier has also been damaged at many places. In such a situation, all the efforts will have to be done again. It is expected to cost around Rs 2 crore for this. But it is preparing to place a demand in the Board of Finance Committee (BFC) to spend Rs 2 crore. The BFC meeting is proposed on 25 November. A pipeline was laid in the old hospital building about two years ago for fire safety. But the matter did not progress further. After this this pipeline also got damaged. That means the entire pipeline will have to be laid afresh. For this, the hospital administration had also given a demand of Rs 1.99 crore. This matter had gone to BFC earlier also. Even after giving demand, no approval was received. According to Hospital Superintendent Dr. Arvind Khare, a BFC meeting is to be held on November 25. The proposal for this has been sent again. This will be discussed in this BFC and it is expected that this scheme of about two crores will be approved and the fire safety work will be completed soon.

Controversy over NOC in new pediatric building

Controversy has come to light regarding fire NOC in the new pediatric building which was started about two months ago. A 250-bed pediatric block has been built in JLN Hospital under the Smart City Project at a cost of Rs 35 crore. Even before its inauguration, there was a hurdle due to lack of NOC for fire safety. In this, this NOC could not be issued because the fee for the NOC could not be deposited.

According to the MOU, this fee was to be paid by the smart city itself, but the smart city management had asked the hospital administration to deposit the amount. NOC was stuck in this dispute. However, after the intervention of Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, the fee was deposited and NOC was obtained. But only NOC has been received for this building also. Fire safety management has to be done here also.

Pipe line in old building damaged at many places, replacement necessary

According to the information received from the hospital administration, a representative of a private agency was called and both the buildings were inspected. After this demand preparation has been done. Due to the pipeline laid in the old building being damaged at many places, there is a need to replace it too. In such a situation, the entire system will be installed afresh in the old building as well as the new building. Just a cylinder in the name of safety. The surprising thing is that till now only cylinders have been purchased in the name of fire safety in such a big hospital. The hospital administration had purchased a total of 140 cylinders. Of these, one cylinder each was installed in 72 wards, and 5 to 8 cylinders were also installed in case of emergency. 130 cylinders have been installed in the old building while 10 cylinders have been installed in the new building.
