Jaipur : Preparations have begun for fresh recruitment of Safai Karamcharis in Rajasthan. The Department of Autonomous Governance will recruit for about 24 thousand posts. The opinion of the Additional Advocate General is also being taken to prepare some rules and conditions, after which this process will be speeded up. It is being told that after the strike of Safai Karamcharis and the displeasure of the Valmiki community, the government had stopped the recruitment process. There was a demand to give priority to the people of Valmiki community in recruitment. After this, the Department of Autonomous Governance is moving ahead cautiously. A few days ago, the Minister of Autonomous Governance also held a long consultation with the Principal Secretary and Director of the department in this matter.

The employees have once again told the government that recruitment should be done on the basis of muster roll as per the recruitment agreement. Recently, the Department of Autonomous Governance was recruiting 24797 Safai Karamcharis in 186 bodies of the state on the basis of lottery on the lines of the year 2018. There was a strike against this. Due to lack of cleaning, heaps of garbage had piled up on the roads. This matter was also raised in the Assembly.
