Religious material and broken idols are being collected from Jaipur temples, immersed with respect.

Jaipur : Jaipur To protect the environment as well as to prevent insult to faith, many voluntary organizations of the city have started a unique campaign. Under this, broken idols along with religious material are being collected from religious-public areas every week by these organizations and institutions. Also, as per the rules and regulations, they are being immersed with respect at other places including Amer, Galata and Kanota. Besides, saplings have also been planted at these places. People are also being made aware of this campaign.

Mansrovar Resident Madhu Singh told that every week she along with the team of women is collecting flowers and garlands from the temples of Mansarovar and surrounding areas. Apart from this, fragmented statues, photographs, costumes, coconuts and worship materials located under the Peepal tree are being collected. Along with preparing compost from flowers once a month, I also made frankincense and incense sticks. Many other women from the colonies are also associated with this campaign.Radhe’s service The Charitable Trust has started placing plastic carats in temples at Jhalana, Sikar Road, Vaishali Nagar and Vidyadhar Nagar and other places. President Rambabu Sharma said that the people coming here are putting religious material in them after the puja. This initiative will ensure proper disposal of this material.

Many big temples were also connected

One Rakesh Rao, founder of Pahal Nirman Sanstha, said that posters are also being pasted at various places in temples including Dadi Ka Phatak, Vaishali Nagar, Mansarovar, Sanganer, Parkota area and C-Scheme. Besides, worship material and used religious pictures are being collected through the vehicle. He told that many people have contacted to join this campaign. Priests from nearby temples help in collecting flower garlands every Monday. So far around 400 temples have been connected. In Niwaru, Bainad, pits were dug and the material was immersed and a large number of saplings were planted there. The responsibility of taking care of them has been given to the local people.
