Karauli News Desk: There is a need for immediate repair of the broken sail of the historic princely period Ranagama pond situated on Mandrayal Marg. The pond is in danger due to the collapse of a large amount of soil during the monsoon season. In such a situation, there is a need to repair the pond and Teen Darwaza Dam. In this regard, a memorandum has been submitted to the District Collector on behalf of Ranagaman Tal Area Development Committee, Karauli, in which it has been told that Ranagaman Tal is of princely state. This time there was a period of heavy rain during the monsoon, due to which the raw layer of soil of the pond has been eroded to a great depth.
Due to this, the safety of the pond has also been threatened. It has been told in the memorandum that Teen Darwaza Dam was constructed during the princely period to store the overflow water of this pond, but this dam was also broken during heavy rains about eight years ago, which is still in a damaged condition. In such a situation, during monsoon, all the water coming from the pond has started filling the lower parts of the city. This year, during heavy monsoon rains, low-lying areas were submerged, creating problems for the people. It is feared in the memorandum that if the pond and dam are not repaired in time, then during heavy rains the pond may be in danger and the common people may face trouble. In such a situation, the pond and dam should be repaired immediately.
During this, Rangamam Area Development Committee Chairman Devendra Chaturvedi along with committee members Shrikant Sharma Advocate, Manoj Sharma Ekt Bodhgram, Vipin Kumar Gupta, Ram Swaroop Chaturvedi, Chandradeep Jain, Vishvendra Singh, Mahendra Surauthiya, Jayesh Chaturvedi, Rishichand Bansal, Ram Avtar Verma, Madan Mohan Kante Wale. etc. were present. It is worth noting that recently the district administration regarding the repair of Rangma pond. Proposals worth about Rs 17.42 crore have been sent to the state government, which are awaiting approval.
