Reserve Bank received a threatening call, complaint filed

Mumbai, November 17 (IANS). A threatening call was made to the Reserve Bank of India at 10 am on Saturday. The caller identified himself as the CEO of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The call came on the customer care number of the Reserve Bank. A call was reportedly made to the security guard of the Reserve Bank. Describing himself as the CEO of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, the man said, “Close the back way, the electric car has broken down.”

A case has been registered against an unknown person. According to the police, this could also be someone’s mischief.

Earlier on Thursday (November 15), an email was received threatening to bomb Mumbai’s JSA law firm Ballard Pair and JSA office Kamla Mill Lower Pearl. The mail came on the official ID of the company. The name of the person who sent it was Farzan Ahmed. He wrote that bombs have been placed in the firm’s office and Ballard Estate office. After receiving the information, the police immediately started investigation.

Earlier, a threat was also given to blow up the flight with a bomb. Last Thursday (November 14), a bomb threat was received at Mumbai Airport. An unknown person had called the CISF deployed at Mumbai Airport and threatened to blow up the airport with a bomb.

After this, other people including the security personnel deployed at the airport became scared. The person who made the threat had called the CISF employee and said that a bomb was placed at the airport. Investigation had revealed that a person named Mohammad was planning to go from Mumbai to Azerbaijan with explosive material.

On October 27 also, a threat was given at Mumbai Airport. It was said that if the plane blew up, no passenger would survive. During investigation this threat was also found to be false.

For the last one year, there have been threats to bomb schools, hotels, airports, markets, trains, buses etc. in the country. However, all are turning out to be fake.
