Jaipur : Results of by-elections of seven seats of Rajasthan, what will be the picture of the BJP and the leaders of the BJP-led government of the state in the next four years? Will decide this. The party fought this election completely relying on the new leadership. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma took charge of the entire by-election and State President Madan Rathore remained with him all the time. The entire responsibility from ticket selection to publicity remained with CM Bhajanlal Sharma and Madan Rathod. The Chief Minister visited each seat twice and Madan Rathore had visited all seven seats. Former CM Vasundhara Raje completely maintained distance from this election. From stopping the rebellion to making strategy, all the work was done with full strength under the leadership of CM Bhajanlal. The way the rebellion was handled enthused the BJP workers till the end of the elections.
little to lose, much to gain
Out of seven seats, BJP had only one seat, Salumber. This seat had become vacant due to the death of a BJP MLA. Apart from this, the remaining six seats are not in BJP’s account. In such a situation, BJP does not have much to lose, but it has a lot to gain. If the party wins more than three-four seats, then Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will get the biggest benefit from it. Sharma has become the CM for the first time, in such a situation, if BJP wins more seats, then the graph of acceptance within his party will increase and the message will also be sent in Delhi that Bhajanlal Sharma’s hold is getting stronger.
Kirori Lal Meena’s reputation is also at stake
The credibility of Agriculture Minister Kirori Lal Meena is also at stake because of Dausa, one of the seven seats. From Dausa, BJP has given ticket to Agriculture Minister’s brother Jagmohan. Throughout the election it seemed as if Kirori Lal Meena was the only one contesting the election.
