Jaipur : Rajasthan Investment Conference has started on 9th December after the inauguration of Prime Minister Modi. Diplomats, industrialists and investors from India and abroad are participating in this three-day conference, in which many projects were approved on the first day. In this connection, Union Energy Minister Prahlad Joshi talked about the economy of Rajasthan in the field of energy.
2000 MW solar park gets approval
During this, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi said that two thousand MW solar park has been approved in Rajasthan. He further said that approval has been given to set up a new solar park of two thousand MW capacity for Rajasthan Solar Development Corporation with central participation in the state. The Center will have 30 percent participation in this solar park. He further said that with the continuous efforts of CM Bhajanlal Sharma, this project will take the solar energy production capacity of Rajasthan to new heights and will go a mile towards making the state a leader in the field of green energy. Will prove to be a stone.
Immense potential for investment in energy sector in Rajasthan
Joshi said that there is immense potential for investment in the energy sector in Rajasthan. He said that the policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have strengthened the confidence of international investors in the Indian economy. Today the whole world is looking towards India with hopeful eyes.
Country’s energy demand will double by 2032
The Union Minister said that the country’s energy demand will double by the year 2032. In such a situation, the central government is busy promoting renewable energy production. Rajasthan will play a big role in achieving the target of 500 gigawatt energy capacity from non-fossil based sources by the year 2030.
Energy production will increase in the state
In the session, Chief Minister Sharma said that we want Rajasthan to not only become self-reliant in energy but also become a surplus state. He said that agreements (MoUs) worth about Rs 4 lakh crore have been signed with central undertakings in the energy sector. Out of these, the Cabinet has also given approval for the establishment of a joint venture for the implementation of MOU worth about Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand crore. Our effort is to increase the state’s renewable energy production capacity from 30 to 125 gigawatts in the next four years.
