Jaipur : In Zanana Hospital, Chandpole, Jaipur, the lives of newborn babies are in danger due to the arbitrary decisions of the responsible officials, especially the Superintendent. The hospital administration suddenly vacated the Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) ward on Wednesday and shifted the babies to the nursery. There was already a shortage of beds in the nursery, due to which two babies were kept on one bed. There is also a risk of infection due to this. Some babies have been kept in the open near verandahs and gates, where the gusts of cold air are making them restless. Experts say that this situation is extremely dangerous for weak newborns. Low birth weight (up to one kilogram) babies born at Zanana Hospital are kept in the KMC ward for additional care. But on Wednesday afternoon suddenly the hospital administration vacated the ward and shifted ten infants to the nursery.

reason for increasing problems

NICU ward remains closed: About two months ago, the roof of the 20-bed NICU had collapsed, which is still awaiting renovation.

Lack of resources: There is already a shortage of staff and beds in the nursery. In such a situation, it is becoming difficult to handle additional babies.

Care in the open: Infants are kept in the open near verandahs and gates, increasing the risk of infection and cold.

The ward has been vacated to build a milk bank. Separate beds have been reserved for infants. Everything will be settled soon. There is no such thing as trouble.
