Rivers in Rajasthan are in spate due to heavy rains, alert issued, know the condition of your city

Rajasthan : Heavy rains are continuing in many districts of Rajasthan. Rains in Hadauti region are resulting in inflow of water in the dams. On Sunday as well, the rains continued throughout the day, sometimes drizzling and sometimes heavy. Due to inflow of water in the Chambal river, 1260 cusecs of water is being discharged by opening one gate of the Kota Barrage. On Saturday, six gates of the Kota Barrage were open, while 22 thousand cusecs of water is being discharged by opening 3 gates of the Kalisindh Dam in Jhalawar district.

In Kota district’s Etawah region, Chambal, Kalisindh and Parvati rivers are receiving water. Here, due to the rise in the tributary rivers, 2 feet of water came into Rana Pratap Sagar Dam in the last 24 hours. The water level of the dam increased from 1142.75 feet to 1144.51 feet. At 6 pm on Sunday, 5 thousand 34 cusecs of water was flowing into the dam. Due to heavy rains in the catchment area of ​​Gandhi Sagar, the big dam of Chambal river, 69 thousand 297 cusecs of water is flowing in. Early Sunday morning, this flow was more than one lakh cusecs. The rise in Brahmani river stopped. Electricity production is continuing from Jawahar Sagar Hydro Power House. 7 thousand 973 cusecs of water is being drained through electricity production. 1260 cusecs of water is being drained from one gate of Kota Barrage on Sunday evening.

Roads are blocked, traffic jams are everywhere

-The Khatauli-Sawaimadhopur road remained closed on Sunday also due to about five feet of water on the bridge of Balaji Chambal river of Jharer near Kaithuda village of Etawah region. Due to this, the connectivity of Kota-Sawaimadhopur districts remained cut off.
– Traffic movement on the Kota-Gwalior-Sheopur route resumed after the water receded on the Parvati river bridge in Khatauli after 2 pm on Sunday.
– Due to water coming from Mukundra forest, National Highway-52 remained blocked for 14 hours continuously at Dara culvert. The road was completely restored at 2 pm after the water receded.
