Robbery with businessman exposed in Kaushambi, two accused arrested

Kaushambi (Uttar Pradesh), 30 November (IANS). In Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday, the police revealed the robbery that happened to a businessman recently. Two accused have been arrested in the case. Police took the help of 52 cameras in uncovering the robbery.

Superintendent of Police Brijesh Kumar Srivastava told journalists that the police started the search through the footage of cameras installed under Operation Trinetra. The miscreants could be identified after viewing the footage of a total of 52 cameras. After this, he was caught with the help of surveillance.

Police have recovered Rs 1 lakh 5 thousand in cash and a check of Rs 1 lakh from them. Police also recovered a bike without number plate, a pistol and cartridges from the accused. The SP announced a reward of Rs 25,000 and a citation for the police team that arrested the accused.

SP Brijesh Srivastava said that Sandipan Ghat Inspector Brijesh Karwaria and SOG in-charge Siddharth Singh along with his team examined the footage of CCTV cameras installed at shops, petrol pumps and Sahaj Jan Seva Kendras in Muratganj, Imamganj, Harraipur, Mahagaon and Sakada and other places. . The miscreants could be identified after viewing the footage of a total of 52 cameras. After this, he was caught with the help of surveillance.

Police said that the incident took place near Alamchandra village of Sandipan Ghat police station area. Where on the evening of 19th November, village resident Ramdev Maurya was returning home after closing his seed shop in Muratganj. Near the village, bike-riding miscreants committed robbery at gunpoint. The miscreants fled after looting two lakh rupees from the businessman. The local police have registered a case in the matter and started action.

Mohammad Gufran, resident of Chakri village of Nawabganj police station area of ​​Prayagraj, and Salman, resident of Mitwapur village of Sandipan Ghat, have been arrested in the case. Police have recovered one lakh five thousand rupees, a check of one lakh rupees in the name of a businessman and an illegal pistol from both the accused.

According to the police, the accused Aalishaan and Shahbaz, residents of Gansari village, have admitted their involvement in the incident.
