Johannesburg, 16 November (IANS). India’s T20 stars Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson and Tilak Verma wished Test captain Rohit Sharma on the addition of a new member to his family.
Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh has given birth to a son. However, the couple has not made any official announcement yet.
In an interview given to the BCCI website, Tilak said, “Rohit bhai, really happy for you. We were waiting for this moment and if it had happened a day or two later, I would have been there with you. I will be there soon.” I am coming.”
“Very happy for Cheta and his family. Now we have to be prepared with the shorter side arm and shorter pads because the new cricketer has arrived,” Samson said.
Citing personal reasons, Rohit had sought time from BCCI for one or two Test matches, after which he has not yet joined his teammates in Perth. The opener’s participation in the first Test against Australia is still unclear.
In India’s spectacular victory in Johannesburg, Tilak scored unbeaten 120 runs in 47 balls with the help of 10 sixes and 9 fours, while opener Samson scored unbeaten 109 runs in 56 balls with the help of 9 sixes and 6 fours, giving India the lead in 20 overs. Reached a huge score of 283 runs.
The South African batsmen succumbed to the pressure of the challenging target and were all out for 148 runs in 18.2 overs. Arshdeep Singh took three wickets, while Varun Chakraborty and Axar Patel took two wickets each.
India won the match by 135 runs, registering its third biggest win in this format. Meanwhile, this was South Africa’s biggest T20 defeat in terms of runs.
The Indian T20 captain said, “We have decided one thing, we want to be aggressive but at the same time we have to remain completely focused on the game.”
